With the aim of promoting sports culture and encouraging young people in sports activities, Deputy Commissioner Rajouri today congratulated three local young people Adil Mehmood; Vipul Sharma and Husnain Ahmed, who will represent Jammu and Kashmir at the upcoming North East National Level Karate Championship.
While interacting with them, the deputy commissioner said that the Rajouri District Administration is committed to providing the best possible platform for the youth of the district to enable them to show their caliber in the sport.
He urged young people to play with sportsmanship and enthusiasm and to give the best of their abilities.
The deputy commissioner said that to effectively support and encourage young people to realize their potential and aspirations, an ambitious program called Mission Youth has been launched in UT.
Likewise, to effectively help young people shape their futures according to their aspirations, a number of other programs have also been launched, âthe DC said.
He said the district administration was holding regular talks with the district youth through social media to understand their concerns and that the best possible efforts were being made to address their real grievances within a specified time frame.
The DC also informed that the district administration has started the process of building playgrounds in each Panchayat in the district with the aim of providing space for young people to get involved in sports activities.
