New Delhi: In a big hit against criminals in the nation’s capital, Delhi police have arrested a nationwide taekwondo player who is believed to have been implicated in more than 30 felony cases.
The arrested person, identified as Suraj aka Fighter, has more than 30 criminal cases filed against him, including cases of theft, uprooting and self-lifting. The national-level taekwondo player – who won two gold medals – is also a former contestant on the reality show “Indian Idol”. He was among the top 50 contestants for the reality show’s fourth season, but greed for money made him choose the path of crime.
Suraj, during questioning, revealed his involvement in more than 100 incidents of snatching.
