District Taekwondo Championship begins in Srinagar

Srinagar, September 16: The 2021 District Taekwondo Championship three-day kick started here at the indoor stadium, polo field, Srinagar on Wednesday.
About 400 players from Srinagar district will participate in this championship and showcase their martial arts talent and skills.
IGP Kashmir, Vijay Kumar was the guest of honor of the event while the guest of honor was the Mayor, Srinagar Municipality Corporation, Junaid Azim Mattoo, SMC Commissioner, CEO of Srinagar Smart City, Amir Athar Khan.
On the occasion of the IGP, Kashmir congratulated the organizer for the organization of the Taekwondo District Championship.
Speaking to media representatives, Kumar said that sport helps the overall personality development of young people, by participating in sports, young people will have the opportunity to move forward in life, and young people will also benefit from teamwork and sportsmanship, which is good for society and the country. .
“Police in Jammu and Kashmir are going to organize such sporting events in the near future, possibly starting next month,” he said.
Other dignitaries present on the occasion were SSP Srinagar. SP Kothi Bagh, Commander of the Indian Army.
The championship is organized by Srinagar smart city limited and is sponsored by Jammu and Kashmir Police and supported by MTC club.
