Lehigh Valley’s devoted father, owner of waterproofing company Karate Blackbelt, dies at 39

Lehigh Valley’s devoted father, sealing business owner and karate black belt, Brock H. Schneck, died at his home on Tuesday, September 13. He was 39 years old.

Born in Allentown, Brock attended Northampton High School, where he played varsity baseball for three years before graduating in 2001, his obituary said.

Brock became the owner of his own sealing business. He had been with the company since he was just 14 and was incredibly proud of his work, his website said.

Brock loved mountain biking, BMX and snowboarding. He had even earned his black belt in karate, according to his memorial.

Above all, Brock embraced his role as a caring and devoted father to his two children, Penny and Maxwell.

In addition to his children, Brock leaves behind his beloved father, David L. Schneck; brothers, Brandon and Cory Schneck; wife, friend; ex-wife, Melinda Schneck; as well as many extended family members and close friends.

“Brock was one in a million, truly ‘great guy’ who was always there for you,” reads one of dozens of tributes on Brock’s obituary.

“His love of family, his children, his friends, his warm, caring and generous heart, his sense of humor, his love of sports, his love of tattoo art, his general love of life will always remain in the memories.”

Brock’s funeral was held at Reichel’s Funeral Home in Northampton on Thursday, September 22.

“Brock will live on in all of us who had the privilege and honor to have crossed paths with him,” the tribute read.

“Keeping his family and everyone who knew Brock in warm thoughts and prayers…Share the warm memories he gave to all of us.”
