The stars of SPORTING from North Wales celebrated their success after a weekend of putting their skills to the test.
Earlier this month at the NEC in Birmingham, the Arnold Schwarzenegger Sports Festival UK took place, which saw aspiring enthusiasts battle for victory.
The Taekwondo Association of Great Britain (TAGB) has been invited to provide Taekwondo action in a four nation national Grand Prix comprised of teams from Wales, England, Scotland and Ireland North.
TAGB has over 20,000 members nationwide and is the largest martial arts association in Europe.
Gareth Pritchard runs a Taekwondo Academy in Prestatyn which is part of the Taekwondo Association of Great Britain with other instructors who teach in Flintshire and Wrexham and after months of intensive training four members of the Country team of Wales were chosen from North Wales.
Gareth’s wife Abbie said: “We had Mike Pritchard from Flintshire on the men’s team, Lewis Byles from Flintshire on the men’s team, Elinor Bonnett from Flintshire on the women’s team and Freya Roberts Howie from Denbighshire in the women’s team, all coached by Gareth Pritchard 6th Dan.
“After a long day of competition, the men’s and men’s teams won gold, the girls silver and the ladies bronze.
