UAE Sharjah club champion opens taekondo for 5th time

Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Taekwondo champions managed to retain the title of the UAE Open Taekwondo Championship, Men’s category and were crowned champions for the fifth time in a row, in the championship organized by Ittihad Kalba Club. Sharjah club champions were able to secure 10 colorful medals, including 6 gold, 3 silver and 1 bronze, collecting 72 points in the tournament in which 12 clubs from the United Arab Emirates took part.
His Excellency Ali Salem Al Midfa, Chairman of the Board of Directors, praised the result achieved by the individual games of the Sharjah teams which controlled a number of games and became exclusive to the Sharjah Club.

Al Midfa said that Sharjah Club has plans and strategies to support players and provide UAE teams with the best players, indicating that the board spares no effort to meet all the needs of the games, to honor the name and position of the club internally. and hoist the UAE flag outside.

Engineer Suleiman Abdul Rahman Al Hajri, Sharjah Sports Club Board Member and Head of Individual Games Department, explained that winning the UAE Open for the fifth time in a row is proof of the great work accomplished by all parties, and it is the fruit of the efforts of the administrative and technical staff led by captain Abdullah Hatem and the players who have reached an advanced stage of preparation and experience.

The head of individual matches said the club has reached a competitive level in taekwondo and become the champion of the local arena, in addition to the club’s achievements in all foreign participations.

Al Hajri pointed out that the taekwondo team is one of the best teams in the United Arab Emirates, praising the excellent work of the technical staff to develop the skills of the players in a way that suits the tournaments, which have become exclusive to the Sharjah club.

Al Hajri concluded by congratulating the heroes for this distinguished achievement, thanked and thanked the Sharjah Sports Council for their continued support in providing all means of success to the sports teams, and the Board of Trustees for their unlimited support.
